I am pretty sure that this officially makes us the “bad guys.”
Americans of good conscience? You’re all going to have to get violent to stop this. The next Democratic president won’t do shit and you know it.
mark... 10:31 am. I can no longer read any news about this administration today.
You imagine...you mean you didn’t read, seems common in this thread:
Yep though now the solo films will also suffer by totally ignoring the MCU... He was totally gonna get all that Stark cash, Happy was gonna stay with May, etc.
The deal wasn’t in place though. The original deal ended with Away From Home and the two companies were negotiating a new deal.
They weren’t changing the terms of the original deal, because that deal ended with Away From Home. They were renegotiating a new deal and Sony, getting cocky now that Marvel basically made them a crapload of cash, thinks they’ll be better on their own.
According to a bit in CBR, it may have been a co-financing issue that scuttled the deal.
I don’t believe it’s possible to feel bad about Disney being bent over a bar stool.
Amy Pascal: WHO CARES, HE’S GONNA BE WITH VENOM NOW! WE’LL NEED ANOTHER TANK OF LOBSTERS!
I’m sure that’s what Sony was counting on. Disney to build the franchise around Parker, making it easier for Sony to try and bend them over a bar stool.
The X-Men and Fantastic Four are both ready to go in the chamber.
I’m a big Ilhan Omar fan, but I think she’s off-base here. This wasn’t a Breitbart troll trying to snare her in an awkward soundbite. The questioner probably knew of Omar’s voting record and was posing this as an opportunity for Omar to affirm her position on the issue and proactively blunt “radical mozlum” bullshit.…
That was a bad answer and this is a bad take. Tucker Carlson isn’t asking the question in bad faith as a way to discriminate against Muslims. This is a Muslim activist asking for help from a powerful Muslim lawmaker at a Muslim conference to help a Muslim community where the problem exists.
The conference was in DC, not Dearborn. Obviously, there are communities all over the country where the Muslim population is a larger minority than others, but I was really speaking in terms of national locality (i.e., about 1/7 of the world is Muslim, but only about 1/100 of Americans are Muslim), and among the…
So a Muslim activist asking a question relevant to the largest Muslim community in the US to a Muslim Congressional representative at a Muslim conference is now nonsense? I disagree. If there was ever a situation meeting the “correct time and place” criteria, this was it.
yeah, no this is not a good look at all, given that the questioner was a muslim activist asking for support for a cause which she says is an issue in her area.
I get that, but she was literally at a panel held by the Muslim Caucus Education Collective, being asked a question by a community activist from the Muslims for Progressive Values. Not exactly shocking that an Islam-specific issue would come up.
She already has a record on FGM, and has done exactly what this reporter was asking her to do on multiple occasions.
