Steam has the money to do the exact same thing as Epic and choose not to.  

Don’t believe this weird “consumer loses” talking point.  The first EGS game, Metro: Exodus, had a $10 discount up front.  

It was also straight trash as a program on release.  It was a resource hog and I was a broke HS student then who didn’t have the hardware to run that in the background and play CS beta.

Metro was $10 cheaper on Epic. When they sort regional pricing, it will really open the doors to the rest of the world and possibly get Valve to pay attention to the market.

You know that’s not likely.  Epic could make all of their games free and it probably wouldn’t sway the consumer to their platform.  Until Epic gets their foothold into the digital PC gaming market, you can expect this to continue.  Blame Gaben for resting on his laurels for the last 15 years.

They did have a habit of gouging prices on the developers/publishers.  That’s why they are picking up chocks and going to Epic.

Except you don’t have to buy the launchers like you have to buy the consoles for exclusives.

I’m def getting Tenchu 2 vibes in this game.  I hope it continues.

I’m getting mad Tenchu vibes (doesn’t seem as hardcore on the stealth) with some unique combat mechanics.  I’m loving it so far.

You absolutely should do a deep dive at their soundtrack and get it crossposted. I think a lot of people across the Gawkerverse would be interested being that it is filled with many artists of color.I flipped out when I heard Princess Nokia come on one of the radios at the beginning of the game.

I’m just getting into New Dawn (which is on sale rn) and I’m just blown away by a lot of the features. The music in particular is like they took my Spotify playlist and threw it in the game.  It made me realize what it’s like to be representing in media and culture.

That is something on my list before I get too fare behind my gaming que.  I legit haven’t played since DMC2.  I think I need to get into the new series once I smoke RE:2

I love anime and I cannot stand Miyazaki films.  They are boring and self-important.  The quality of the production is impressive, but his storytelling is wack.
