I have no clue if this stuff is a propaganda campaign or just some random guy shit posting, but I can tell you that people across all generations have the same tendency to believe stuff that matches their world view and pass it on.

I assume what’s happening in retail (Target, Walmart, etc.), with rising prices suppressing demand and rapid overaccumulation of inventory necessitating a return to sales, is going to happen in the auto markets as well. Add in increasing interest rates, dissipation of the FOMO around new vehicles, and SO many people

Quoting you...”and the value of social media engagement”...I spit coffee all over my desk. Thanks for the laugh!

Gen X and Millennials are every bit as bad. And probably worse for at this point.

I, for one, am going to be sad to see Scaringe spiral into a vindictive narcissitic conspiracy theorist who knocks up employees and techno-pop artists.

GM reveals the Elmiraj and Escala concepts, everyone loves them and wishes they would go into production. A gorgeous Cadillac concept is finally making it into production and suddenly GM is incompetent?

To be fair, I think the vehicle is absolutely stunning and would 100% drive a less gaudy one at maybe 120-130k.

OK. But GM, watching Tesla muscle it’s way to the top of luxury auto market share blowing by Cadillac in the process, decided since they also build cars for money that they should make a luxury EV to compete.

“I’d like to make a vending machine that sells vending machines. It’d have to be real fuckin’ big!”

GM has already triggered their phase out for EV tax credits. These won’t qualify for any by the time they’re built.

I nominate this for CotD

I don’t design boats. Here’s my guesses:

Give him a couple years at Twitter (new board, staff, etc.) and he can easily close that gap with offspring alone.

It’s just so sad that he had to kill James Caan to make it happen though.

Would be interesting to know the drive by wire/brake by wire failure rates, and to compare that with the failure rates of mechanical steering linkages.

A modern polka quartet specializing in 1990's alternative grunge covers.

Wow, you instantly categorize (ref: stereotype) minorities as the “loud music listeners” (rap music, amiright?) in a half-assed attempt to attach some kind of racist motivation by law enforcement, and with zero irony.

Objectively, sales seem to suggest the praise for their prior products is probably deserved.

A mirror won’t fail if there is a wiring problem.

I think there are a lot of people out there with Teslas with pretty much zero loyalty to the brand.
