The assumption has always been that Cruise has been approached numerous times but won’t do it because he’s dyslexic and concerned about reading off the cue cards.

The only thing that would keep Quinta Brunson away is that NBC doesn’t usually like to bring in stars of other network shows to host (only Jim Parsons, for example, hosted from Big Bang).
Sorely under-rated glue guy from his SNL tenure, and maybe the best part of Mr. Mayor.
I don’t disagree. I’m just saying if it gets pushed from November ‘23 to summer ‘24 (or later), I don’t think there’s going to be much outcry.
I’ll read it. His short-story collection was solid.
They’re doing this because two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali wants to, not necessarily because anyone was clamoring for more Blade. So... I guess we can all keep waiting?
A friend of mine once watched him try to bully his way into a Broadway show by being surprised the ticket-taker didn’t remember him from Mean Girls.
That’s fair. It seemed to me that he was unhappy she got a watch and he got nothing, but that’s not necessarily a statement about her.
The other excerpts in the Guardian show him softening toward Radcliffe and even occasionally meeting with him outside of shooting the films. They seem to have had a mentor-mentee relationship by the end. It does not appear he liked Watson much at all. He writes that he read in Vogue while receiving medical treatment…
Or: Tiffany Haddish took the justified goodwill from Girls Trip, and then said yes to nearly everything she was offered over the next five years. None of it really hit. This was just the final nail in the coffin.
I think the Broccolis are screwed no matter who they pick. If it’s a cis white dude, a significant portion of the Internet is going to be up in arms about it, and if it’s someone who’s not a cis white dude, a different significant portion of the Internet is going to be up in arms about it. Terrible publicity either…
Oh my God, somehow they STILL haven’t started shooting these movies?
Whatever happened to that Emile Hirsch-as-John Belushi movie? Hirsch’s star has fallen pretty far since it was announced...
Finally got around to watching this. Why would Karli have left the UK for Madripoor, and then... Latvia, I guess?
Not familiar with any of them... not going to invest a lot of time in them for a couple of years, either, given the fates of Lauren Holt and Aristotle Athari the last couple of seasons.
Although I read that and immediately thought, “Kaitlyn Dever has to play a high school kid AGAIN?”
I wonder how many shows passed on Michelle Branch’s tearful mea culpa that it ended up on the Tamron Hall show (which I think might be on MyNetworkTV in my market). I’m going to assume Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Dr. Phil, Nick Cannon, maybe Rachael Ray...
They’ve got that podcast, so we know the three creators are still hanging out regularly. And Rob McElhenney needs cash to funnel into Wrexham AFC. I bet it goes a while longer.
I threatened to cancel my cable a while back, and they gave me all the premium channels for free. Because I get HBO, I get free HBO Max. Would I also then get free Paramount Plus? If not, I need to finish watching I Love That For You.
I somehow made it my entire life without ever seeing a picture of Dick Wolf until today. And I was OK with that.
