He’s had multiple specials on Netflix. Lots and lots of teenagers know who Mulaney is.

Godmothered was Isla Fisher and Jillian Bell. It was the type of movie that would have been summer counter-programming 5 years ago (like Bad Moms, or Bridesmaids)
Part of it is that they save money by only paying the big top-of-the-line actors. A couple of those Netflix movies, I swear the supporting actors are the same glorified extras they get for Lifetime Originals.
Brutal is the riff from Elvis Costello’s “Pump it Up” and the vibe, rhythm and tempo from Stone Temple Pilots’ “Big Bang Baby”
Agreed: Amazon had some giant Chris Pratt fights aliens movie a couple of months ago. Exactly 0 of my friends and acquaintances have mentioned they watched it. Several of them may have, but it was just another thing to put on in the background while they scrolled through their phone. Same with the Michael Bay - Ryan…
I remember she and Beth Cahill and Cleghorne and Melanie Hutsell were all new castmembers that ‘91-’92 year, and then the next year Hutsell and Cleghorne were the only ones that came back.
Shouldn’t a team of 20-year-olds playing a team of 17- and 18-year-olds be better than this?
Hole was big at the time, with Celebrity Skin. They also called out Beck and Hanson.
The precedent has been set: the second they announce a permanent host, or even a potential permanent host, people who don’t like that person (or who really like one of their competitors) and have a lot of time on their hands will scour the Internet for anything and everything they’ve ever said or done that might get…
Just. Don’t. Tweet. That’s the main lesson here. There is literally no upside to using Twitter in 2021.
Uh... you don’t have to be fabulously wealthy to turn off social media. You just delete the apps from your phone. I was relatively poor before I did it, and I’m relatively poor now.
My one complaint about Beck as the Sudeikis / Hartman / Ferrell everyman is that he’s not tall enough. He’s shorter than a couple of the female cast members.
And Levar Burton is 64 years old. You don’t want to do this parade of guest hosts thing again in a decade. The goal should be to have a host for a generation or more.
What happened to BJ Novak, anyway? A quick internet search tells me he’s barely done any acting, writing, or directing in the last 5 years.
Not defending Sanz, and I can’t say if he’s really changed as a person or not, but he has lost a substantial amount of weight and sobered up since his SNL days. Multiple people have said he was the hardest-partying member of those late-90s / early-00s casts, trying to get the others to go along to after-after-parties,…
I seriously doubt Horatio Sanz has $7.5 million, period. Voiceover work, improv stuff and podcasts might keep you in an LA apartment, but they won’t make you rich.
They should have had a Blindspot / Working it Out crossover. Growing up well-off in Tulsa (he went to a private high school), what did Bill Hader learn about the 1921 massacre?
Yeah, I’m not sure it impeded her career, but by ‘07, her career was already in free-fall. After that, she did the Hottie and the Nottie and the occasional web video.
I was wondering why J.Lo seems to wait for the entire cast to turn over before she comes back to host again (except Kenan... 2001, 2010, 2019). Then I noticed how far back the cast stood in the good nights... maybe the diva reputation is justified.
The info box for this episode on my TV said Artie was marrying Marge’s clone, not a robot. Somehow I feel like that would have been funnier.
