I'm just curious about the requirement for Apple to have the best price no matter what. How is THAT legal?

It's really not that simple:

Man, fuck Apple.

Give it a listen. They're happy to have people try and recreate the flavor.

Just buy kindle books. Problem solved.

I guess Gizmodo didn't listen to the whole thing. Coca Cola's spokesman came out and verified certain aspects of the flavoring ingredients but otherwise rejected the claim. Evidently this recipe has been brought up before and yet it always falls flat in the taste test, cocaine-less coca fluid be damned.

Just FYI, comics are not any cheaper in print...

Wait, they have at least 1500 people working on Symbian?! And it still looks like it does?! I wouldn't be surprised if they're just leaving the office early every day. That would explain Symbian at least. Maybe this is normal.

They had just started some of the Docs templates when we were planning our wedding last year. We found the RSVP and seating templates to be really useful.

Is Epicurious using iAds? I got a horrendous (and buggy) full screen BMW ad on the iPad that made me actively hate both BMW and Apple simultaneously.

I lived with the Pre for a year, and I've had my EVO for 8 months. I've had an iPad for about that long too. There is no way that the WebOS app store is anywhere near comprehensive enough to compete with Android or Apple. It's mind blowing going from WebOS to Android. Everything else you said? Totally true; best

yup. The Pre 2 launch is a failure. No doubt.

I've mulled this over in the past; I'm fairly certain you can chalk that up to hubris. I don't think that Apple will allow itself to be seen as copying. It should, and so should Android; Blackbberry is doing it on the playbook (it's pretty obvious). Apple just doesn't have the stones to admit that their multitasking

If there was any doubt left that the original Pre ended up as a company ending boondoggle, best left in the annals of history, that should be gone now. Actually, typing out that comment makes me feel a little bit sad...

Penny Arcade is prophetic

They need to provide devices untethered from mobile carriers and at or below the $500 iPad price tag. The last thing that I want right now is another subscription. One thing HP has going for it is scale; it alongside Apple can afford to build a massive number of device X at a lower cost and lower price point. I'm

I dunno about that. I ran my Pre at 720MHz before moving to the Evo. Consider the startup time of the camera app and Google Maps.

I am really hoping they get the speed up; it kills me how slow the Pre is.
