@McMike: we got a cat bed for our new cat, Tiger Lily, and the old cat, Darth, decided he needed two beds. Yeah, cats are dicks.

The smarter of my two cats (Darth) was pretty bored by this app. Every other cat I've shown it to, however, has loved it.

Well the Kindle situation is very easy to solve: make the In App books purchases sell for 42.9% more than the broswer based book purchases, and have both options side-by-side in the Kindle app. After Apple has taken their 30%, Amazon will be left with their original selling amount.

I think it's pretty common knowledge that NBC is just a pretty bad company ran by clueless assholes.

I love Rdio, although I do wish they had more Andrew Bird music.

@Boomdiggity!: Yeah, I love my Evo, except for the battery life

This is becoming a nasty trend that Samsung has brought to light:

Alright, when's Sprint getting the iPhone. What? No. Really? Never? Alright then.

@MattWPBS: interesting. I don't know...I don't really like swype. I feel like I do too many unknown words and acronyms to use swype all the time. Not a fan of the word choice interface on swype.

@MattWPBS: true, but the default keyboard on the iPad is really nice.

@genomecop: I want Netflix on Android for my phone too, not just a potential tablet.

I would really appreciate better multitasking and the pseudo desktop ui that Android has going for it. That said, I think the iPad will probably have a better on screen keyboard (I'm touch typing on it right now) and it still has the Netflix advantage, and games. What I would really like to see, however, is support

I'm a big fan of Carbonite. I backup me and my wife's desktops to the Atom-based HTPC I keep running all the time and that gets backed up to Carbonite. If you have the additional server/computer, that's a pretty good backup solution. The only caveat: by default they don't backup video files or files 4GB (but you can

I wonder if the Geek Squad car caused the accident.

@so i herd some things...: you can't build something small scale for the amount of money you're talking about. The only way to get it even near that price would be to make 10,000 of these to bring down the cost of any forming equipment or dies. It's expensive because it's unique.

Couple others: Doggcatcher for podcasts, WidgetLocker, picplz, Engadget, AppBrain
