britain could do the same with tsr2, was so advanced and seeing as how avro (uk?)had some hand in its design, its hardly suprising that tsr2 looks so like cf 105,although being later design,it was even more advanced.
i have spent most of my life badgering various folk in the know exactly what the real reasons were for

ahh,
with more reading,it was the canadian tsr2 and suffered the same fate.
there is still a big story to leak out yet about what happened to so many countries aircraft industies outside of america,it looks very like the yanks or russians or both had
a very big part in their collapse.

i would guess at mostly used as a flying known target for new detection systems.
possibly the last american military aircraft they got mostly right.
but would also make sense to keep a few for very iffy work that you have no other kit for, same as sr71 bb,retired, but with no replacement capable of half its mission

from that pic it looks almost like a tsr2 copy.
but old style delta etc at second glance, must be from same era though.

sorry.dont understand your reply.

whats the point.stealth is a waste of effort.
advances in radar and sensor technology has made the idea laughable or are the americans thinking that it will take others a very long time to introduce new detection methods?
it wont, too many new methods are cheap, quick and easy to introduce and are probably under test
