My understanding and experience is that Eastern Europeans, seen as very low life forms in Europe already (doubly so if they are Jewish), were not really considered to be much of a loss. It’s very confusing to me that there is such a lack of understanding of just how much most Eastern Europeans suffered during the war.

At this point, archaeology is our best bet to tell these people’s stories.

Eastern European culture has done a really good job of convincing its citizens that pain and suffering is a buffing tool that makes the soul stronger and more pure.

Thank you for writing this all out. It was so helpful to read even though my salary issues happened when I was quite young. It is always helpful to read about others (especially women, but men as well) discuss how they have gone about being assertive and professional about fairness in the work place.

I was really young and I really didn’t want to get fired from my job. There were so many of us in the field and I didn’t want to rock the boat. I wish I’d known better than let myself be pushed around but I guess you live and learn? Still sucks, though.

It seems like in America, that cause is a really hardcore, nationalistic Christianity? If you abort those kids, you abort bodies born on American soil that can follow through…
