I hope you enjoy Bravely Default; it's one of those that I'm honestly less excited about precisely because so many of the people excited about it seem to be XIII-haters. Not saying this in an "I'm going to dislike whatever you like" kind of way, I'm just thinking if BD is what they think was missing from XIII, then

I guess I see it a little differently. I didn't like the idea of relinquishing control of the other players at first, but the AI was actually really good—put an AI-controlled ravager against an unknown enemy type, and it will start by testing elemental resistances. I had been turned off by the amount of AI programming

I really don't understand all of the hate for XIII. Do people really enjoy the artificial game length added by grinding and the search for the right shop in the right town to buy the right material to take to the other shop to get a decent weapon? Do people really have such a hard time following a complicated story

Well, there is the upcoming movie about her grandfather-in-law…

Yeah, just tell him, "Japan's totally working on it, and if you study hard, you could help make Pokémon a reality". Ethics conversations can come later.

That should really get the fundie vote out.

Apologies if I gave the wrong impression—my intent is not to belittle in any way, merely to enlighten. Life is too short for mediocre sex. (And the applications go far beyond masturbation, though that's a good training ground.)

Ah, well. At least you won't know what you're missing, then. That should be some comfort.

I, uh… Yeah. There are books on this for men. You should check into them. It's, uh… it's definitely worth it.

Former politician, campaigned in MA as, no lie, "Dick Swett".

The time limits concerned me, too, until I saw a clarification in a review saying that the time limit really only applies when you're walking around. Get in a menu, get in a battle, pause the game, and that clock stops. (Which is good, because I will be spending SO MUCH TIME in menus working on customizing outfits.)

I think the case would be clearer if you argued instead that Firefly was in many ways a riff on/continuation of Alien: Resurrection. If you take a look at the crew of the ship featured in the movie, there are direct correlations to the crew of the Serenity. Ripley/River is a reasonable comparison as well, even down to

I enjoyed the writing in Xillia… but then, I enjoyed the writing in the other Tales games as well. I like the humor and the awareness and mockery of anime tropes. Not sure whether other people aren't getting the jokes, or just don't have the same idea of what constitutes funny.

Working through it right now, really just because of impending LR. I backed myself into a corner on first playthrough, got sick of it and just quit. XIII-2 didn't grab me story-wise in the way that XIII did. But I guess that makes me solidly in the minority on this site? Can't for the life of me see why so many people
