If you need something similar but multi-platform, I love Synergy. I am a web designer, but I'm part of our I.T. department so I have a mac and a windows 7 machine at my desk. Using synergy allowed me to reduce some desktop clutter. The copy paste works well, the "file-drag" feature is hit or miss.

"Metro for Steam" is just a fancy name, it is just a steam skin like any other (I use it since 2 years already). It will work on whatever OS Steam is installed on.
