I was going back and forth between rotate and revolves....as in a planet rotates on it axis and revolves around the sun. A day lasts between 16 and 18 hours because of the different rotational speeds at different lattitudes. It revolves around the sun once every 164.8 years.
Until...they get the dreaded.....

Solar photography filters block 99.99% so they will work. You can get the mylar sheets that are less expensive from Amazon. Using a piece of mylar mounted in a small frame over the lens you could get shots of the sun with sunspots depending on your camera’s lens/sensor/settings.
