I'd say either The Hostile Hospital (first book in the series to finally deviate from the well-worn formula of the previous 7) or The End, which I think ties up the kids' story perfectly.

I'm so mad I missed the peak commenting period on this story because I just have to ask:

So… I'm not allowed to watch Lady Snowblood because I'm a Tarantino fan and saw Kill Bill first?

So we're going to season 10 at least… dunno if I can hang on that long.

I tried watching the first episode of UCB and it just wouldn't load. Is it region-locked? There's nowhere on the site that says it is.

This seems like something that's so easy to mock, but between The UCB Show, HarmonQuest, Bajillion Dollar Properties and the entire 30 Rock backlog, I might end up actually paying for it… provided it's made available in Canada.

The band Mogwai… just in general. They put out a career-spanning retrospective called Central Belters, and I've basically been obsessed with all of the songs included from 2014's Rave Tapes, including "Remurdered" and "Tell Everyone I Love Them" but especially "The Lord is Out of Control"

…Do you mean SMTIV? I played it a bit, but I was turned off by the demon Pokemon collecting. I think I only got about 5 hours in.

It certainly is one of those things that made me go "what? this all sounds FANTASTIC" so clearly I am smack in the middle of the target and needn't be concerned about critical reception.

Oh but of course! The stream's been comparatively light compared to it's predecessors but it's pretty solid. Unfortunately we're going to be waiting a while yet for Bravely Second and the Dragon Quest remakes.

I can put up with a lot if the game is fun to play, and Tales typically doesn't disappoint in that area, although it was definitely one of the weaker ones, partially due to being rushed out to celebrate a franchise anniversary. You really should give the sequel a try, it's really more of a director's cut with a way

Certainly! That would be lovely!

That stuff may not be untrue (and can certainly be irritating), but I'll take it over the stifling, gravelly-voiced "dark" self-seriousness of your average Western game.

Upvoted for non-standard boss fight music.

About Xeno or Monster Hunter? I don't know anything about the latter.

I'm guess I'm just a bitter old JRPG fan.

I find it pretty odd that stuff like Souls gets rewarded for being headbutting-a-brick-wall hard but for this it's tedious and boring.

And then they kill off Noah in the same season, in one of the goriest death scenes in the show's history. Go figure.

ARGH the fucking jetski sections are literally, not figuratively, THE WORST.

Yep, it was a launch game alright, which is a shame. It should have been given more time to percolate.
