Nice, i'm going to check these out! The only one I listen to regularly is The Alton Browncast. Hearing him geek out over all manner of food nerdery and banter with his Food Network cohorts makes me so happy.

Thanks for this! I didn't even know tests like this existed. I've said for years that I have almost perfect pitch but was mostly talking out of my ass. I did pretty well on these tests though.
I, uh, "know someone" who used to work in IAC's corp HR and would guess she was hired as a favor. Her dad is worth $1.4 billion and probably called Barry or Greg. An inordinate amount of people there were brought in because they knew someone.
it's already gone!
The cached version had this in the header: Justine Sacco was the victim of a witch hunt. She was the target of a liberal media campaign to limit Freedom of Speech in America.
Sorry kids, Christmas is cancelled. Mommy and Mommy have to itemize and divide the corsets and whips.
This close to Christmas and on a weekend, might be more often even. By the time this went down the bride-to-be had probably seen 2 or 3 other proposals and knew what was coming. /cynical
for real. I honestly made this face at my computer screen:
Higher than average? shoot, I would pay Florida property tax over NJ any day. I'm paying 6k/yr on a 2br condo, my parents are paying $1400 a year for a 4br house with pool and attached garage.
That woman's taxes on a home of that value would be ~ $26,700 here.
1 of the author's 6 suggestions mentioned coupons. So maybe save some time and try the other five? and according to the American Public Transportation Association cited an increase of public transport services a full 12% greater than the inrease of highway usage over the same period. (34% vs 22%). So replace that…
you will lose your job if you lose your car.

If you write an accurate job description detailing the expectations of the job, people will mostly self-select. If they don't, and fail to fulfill expectations, then dismiss them. Keep it performance based.
Instead of asking "How does your family or partner feel about you working long hours?" why not ask "Will you…
I'm not a dude, but you're right, it is a legitimate question. You need to know if they can fulfill the essential functions of the job. Assuming that because someone has a family they are not able / willing to do those things or conversely that because someone does not have a family that they are willing/able to do…
" Miley Cyrus is acting like everything is okay, but she's actually devastated that Liam Hemsworth is already dating Eiza Gonzalez"
Everyone else in this thread knows her as a rapper. To me she will always be the preeminent purveyor of single-serve coconut flavored Moscato. We classy,ya'll.
You're not cynical. People are terrible.
If you're ever really bored / really curious, watch this great presentation on Unconscious Bias : https://www.aamc.org/members/leader…
Adding to Danny's excellent response, it's not necessarily illegal to ask, but it's more about the employer minimizing liability. If I don't know that someone's part of a "protected class" (those categories that Danny mentioned plus many more under city and state laws), then I can't possibly discriminate against them…
I gave question 4Q major side-eye until following the link to see that the author works in London. It's still common to include age, family information, and a photo on CVs in Europe.
I hope (beg, plead, and pray) that US hiring managers know better than to EVER ask this.
As one of, like, 5 people who watched Young Americans, Charlie Hunnam will always be Ryder to me. (with bonus Ian Somerhalder)
