Right. Like, cops and their families VOLUNTARILY place themselves in that position. They are PAID in exchange for going to work. When officers are killed or wounded in the line of duty, they and/or their families receive insurance proceeds meant to compensate them for their sacrifice.
The problem is that when the police talk to African-Americans, the conversation tends to include phrases like “GET ON THE GROUND! NOW!” and “HE’S GOT A GUN!” and “IT’S GIULIANI TIME!”
