I only watched the first 3/4 of Lockout, but the French courts got it wrong: it’s closer to the middle act of A New Hope than to Escape From New York. Guy Pearce is clearly closer to the snarky Han Solo bantering with Princess Leia than to stoic Snake Plisskin begrudgingly looking for the asshole president (who has

I had never heard of Emma Ruth Rundle, though I’ve liked everything I’ve heard from Red Sparrowes. I guess I have some more music to check out now.

I saw the metal one prior to Pollyanna McIntosh’s “Darlin’”, was unaware of the other shorts.

First Class wasn’t that good. It introduced mostly uninteresting characters, and set up a version of Mystique much worse than the earlier films and which wound up dragging down sequels.

It worked all the way for me, even though I haven’t experienced anything like that.

I haven’t seen any reviews of Too Old To Die Young aside from episodes 4 & 5 (which were the ones screened for critics).

If it were up to me, less would be explained.

If she’s diecting it, then it should really be referred to as Rachel Morrison’s Flint Strong rather than Barry Jenkins’. And yes I know that means nobody should use the phrase “Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas”.

King of the Monsters was not that good. So much time wasted on uninteresting human characters because the economics of CGI don’t permit that all-monster action the director clearly wishes he was making.

It’s a good movie, but it also seems like an indication that you haven’t seen enough movies this year.

I really liked “Her Smell”, but I don’t recall any Shakespearian prophecies in it.

I don’t think she does movies anymore. But Juliette Lewis does, so perhaps she could substitute as child actress turned musician named “J. Lewis”.

I normally roll my eyes at people complaining about one-season shows getting cancelled, but Terriers is the exception.

I thnk I’ve only seen Labeouf in the film version of “Constantine”. I prefer the tv version played by Reggie Ledoux.

The worst thing about it is the attempt to make a “universe”.

That bit isn’t in the film version, so it’s not a matter of you forgetting that detail. I’d link to the original script, but I can’t find it online any more.

David Slade has directed more episodes of Hannibal (back during its two good seasons) than Black Mirror.

It is indeed terrific, and using English actors to play Russians is no mark against it.

The simplest explanation is that he doesn’t care and little of the variation in assault across people is explainable by whether they’ve heard it’s bad.
