I am always amazed at how poorly his clothes fit. I’m not shaming him for his body shape, I’m just confused. We know he’s a man who cares a lot about his image. I know that sports teams are private ventures and that they ultimately control who has access to their product, but how does it help them by pulling this shit? The average Joe isn’t going to sympathize with management.

“I was at that banner protest game” is a better story than “I saw Sam Bradford scramble for 24 yards.”

That was some very good shade. The long, slow build enhanced IMO.

Maybe I don’t have the sports knowledge to know otherwise, but the “Hollywood” Henderson reference feels rather unnecessary in this particular context other than as a way of slamming Bradshaw.

Kara, as ever, thank you for your work in the mines. Your efforts stand as the giant shoulders we all perch upon. Thank you for the Steelers/Bradshaw post. You cannot know how important your work is in this instance. Bradshaw is a goober and Tomlin is a king, and not just in this instance, in life.

The whole “Hollywood” Henderson comment also reminds the reader that it has been 30+ years since Bradshaw was a Relevant and Successful Football Man. It’s the football equivalent of “was a great model, I remember seeing her in my mom’s catalogs.”

The context on the Hollywood Henderson comment made everything so much better.
