What is even more annoying is being in the car that is trying to back out. I always back in at places like that. A) its way easier for obvious reasons, and B)) I think more people are willing to let you out of your spot if you are pulling forward, as it is less annoying for them, too.

This is true, although I seriously doubt sales would be too much better if they were on lots. Average joes simply do not want wagons, and average joes are what keep brands/models afloat

There’s a reason there are no others in the market. They all faile because nobody buys theme. Sport oriented models in general are doing terrible overall, let alone wagons.

It got plenty of attention in the circles that give attention to wagons, of which there aren’t many. It got no attention to the majority of the population because buick made absolutely no effort to advertise it. It was shown in just TWO commercials when they show the entire lineup, and left out of several others.

Agreed. With incentives, you could get them for $21,000-27,000 with all of the options that most of us on here would consider to be enough, essentially everything but the advanced driver assistance packages and maybe the sunroof. That is used Accord/Mazda 6/Camry money.

I’d say it handles like most sedans I’ve driven, which is not to say sporty, but how wagons are supposed to drive. It actually rides just barely lower than my 2011 Legacy GT. It is a car of compromise, though. They would NEVER have sold any if they were actually low and sport tuned. They NEEDED the average car buyers…

It really wasn’t raised much. Just enough to try to trick the CUV buyers into buying it, since Buick knew a “wagon” wouldn’t sell well to the general public, but that wagon buyers could see through the CUV guise. It actually rides lower than my 2011 Legacy GT (by .1").

Why didn’t “sporty” a $27,ooo 2 seat honda with 115HP and mid 30s mpg sell? Because this existed. It was faster, cheaper, more reliable (apparently), better built, and got better MPG. Also, it looked way better.

For the price of a mid to high trim Trax, you could buy a Buick Regal Tourx. Mid level Tourxs were/are as low as $21,000 NEW. Not including any other vehicles, why in the world would you pick a Trax?

Not sure what that had to do with my comment. I was stating that proper budgeting means you can support your family for 1+month without income. If you had kids before you stuffed enough money away for that, you did not budget properly.

If you don’t have enough set aside to live for 1+ month without income, you did not plan properly. I know it sounds like I’m just being a prick, but really before you had kids, you ideally should have stuffed more money away.

Living within your means means budgeting with the knowledge that any moment you may lose your source of income or receive a huge bill. If you do not have money set aside to cover your unavoidable bills for some period of time, you are not living within your means. And let me tell you, these union guys get paid plenty…
