The leather is my biggest complaint, as it is quite stiff. I think some custom leather (and maybe new foam?) could go a long way for the car, but I definitely see your point and agree to some point. You could realistically have a completely custom interior made and still be under budget, but you would REALLY have to

It should, as far as I could imagine, but who knows. Also, the insurance company probably won’t authorize it for one of several possible reasons.

I’m seeing conflicting information, but it looks like there will be a “Polestar Engineered” T8 version with 415hp/494tq and a polestar tuned T6 with 330hp/325tq. I really don’t know which will be available where, and how realistically available they will be.

I don’t think you fully grasp the reality, much as I didn’t. Parts are not available from GM NOW. I am certain they will not be available in a few years. It will be up to the aftermarket to supply them.

I mean, it is a car that is selling for $22,000-30,000 with decent power, AWD, and all the electronic gizmos. I don’t really expect a super high end interior. I do find the leather a bit stiff, though. Otherwise I can’t think of a better value, really, for a vehicle that size...especially one that looks so damn good.

Why not a V60 Polestar? Volvo’s website says they start at $67k

If my budget was $70k, these would probably be nowhere on my radar. I’d be looking at the Volvo wagons, the Jag, and maybe the MB. HOWEVER, if my budget was $25k (it was) I’d seriously consider buying a TourX Essence (I did).

DAMN, those are some heavy bastards. 4500lbs for the 2020 version!

Which is why you lower tire pressure if you actually want the larger contact patch when you go wider. Use the tire manufacturer’s inflation load chart to figure out how much to do to keep a similar load limit

Ahh, yes, the law. It certainly never lags technology or culture, and is always correct. Just like with slavery, segregation, voting rights,

I’m with you. Everyone acts like I’m just a grumpy old man (I’m 28) , but the reality is that there are a ton of products that are becoming over complicated for the sake of flashy tech that either adds unnecessary cost, makes it difficult to use, makes it hard to fix, or a combination of those things, all with very

Next time park perpendicular to the pump, either in front of or behind the offending car, and fill up that way. The pumps should (hopefully) be long enough to make it to your gas cap if you park it correctly. That would really send the message home and get you in and out in a timely manner

get in the fifth gen legacy group on facebook, if you aren’t already!

Agreed. Also, the picture in this article makes it look like LESS legroom than in my 2011

Hey now, the take rate for the previous turbocharged legacy was 100%!

I am aware that there other cars out there, but the Subaru “unreliability” thing is somewhat of a myth. Unreliable means you cannot rely on it because it has frequent problems. They don’t. They have one problem. If those headgaskets fail, yes, you will be stranded, but they aren’t going to fail every couple years. And

I could not imagine spending $20,000 on a used vehicle with 96,000 miles on it.

Not sure about what you are saying at the end there. CUVs are Subaru’s bread and butter, and have been for many years. They are the same as the sedans, but with taller springs. They are exactly what just about every other CUV on the market is, and they are selling at an absurd rate. As much as I despise the concept of

Subaru’s only real issue is headgaskets. If you plan accordingly, it’s not a huge deal. Many other brands will nickel and dime you to death, but Subaru serves it all up at once, and in my opinion, that’s better.

I just can’t figure out how he gets his feet on the right side of the car with his body on the left!
