What if you have a heavy payload that shouldn’t get wet? Look, I dislike trucks when they aren’t used for actual work just as much as you do. But bed covers are a very useful tool to many people who actually use them for work.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Genuine work trucks may be hauling smaller, heavier stuff that still shouldn’t get wet. But generally I agree that most people with bed covers on their perfect, shiny truck should have bought something else. But then how would they validate their manhood?

For quick opening and closing without having to worry about the rolling mechanism jamming up from dirt, grime, etc. It is a lot easier to lift it open and to close than to unroll and re-roll many times per day, as in Andrew’s article..that he wrote...that everyone is commenting on...that…

I actually LOLed at the first part of your comment, but I have to disagree with the second. Mustangs, Camaros, etc. have become more common than the Bel Air, and I cannot really get myself to be excited about them when I see them, even if they pack a performance punch.

The thing is that AWD really only helps you not be stuck. The real benefit of snow tires is stopping and control while turning, which AWD does not afford you.

I think this last part is what will doom us all. As cars become more and more a rolling iPad, people increasingly want the newest and “bestest” thing. I think we are going to start seeing a lot more constant upgrading in the car industry. That’s my prediction, as an irrelevant internet man, at least.

A handful of options can not make a crude off road vehicle into a luxury vehicle. That takes significant suspensions changes.
