Well I wasn’t really commenting on the ability for the FO to catch up to Holdo, but rather the scene where they show the support ship running out of fuel and falling off to the side and slowing down. Otherwise, I’m with you.

I still think these are ugly, but THANK THE AUTOMOTIVE GODS that they look better than before. I cannot understand how these were selling so well before. They looked so........doofy. I don’t know exactly what that word means, but I think you will agree that it describes the previous design.
Not to mention that running out of fuel in space doesn’t mean your spaceship suddenly slows down and falls to the side. There is no friction in space and no planets nearby, aside from the one they are flying straight towards. The ships would have continued on at speed or potentially accelerating from the planet’s…
Honestly, the chance that the airbags will do more harm than good is absurdly low. Think about how many of the affected cars are in accidents each day, and think about how many reports there are of faulty airbag injuries. Yes, you should get your airbag done ASAP, but disconnecting does not seem like a good idea in…
Hmm, maybe the same thing is happening with SUVs today. They are a dime a dozen, and people seem to think that SUVs make them better than the average driver. They also don’t realize that most of the SUVs out there have no real off-road advantage, and will never use them for that anyway. Years from now we will see Meh…
Geeze, you got me thinking. My older brother was in highschool in the early 2000s. He was in that group of cocky popular kids, and the ones that were waiters drove a: Sunfire (my brother), Protoge, and Ranger. I don’t remember many of his other friends’ jobs or cars, however.
Probably something from Jason’s “Meh Car Monday’s”. The problem with many other beaters is that their quirks and problems often become sort of endearing, and you end up caring too much about your beater. With a “meh” car, like a Toyota Camry (even if it hasn’t made his list yet), there isn’t anything to fall in love…
None of these would make a difference once granny is up and unable to commit to go anywhere or some idiot is staring at their phone.
Confirmed. My Legacy’s paint will chip from a gentle breeze
I think in most cars that does make a difference. Many cars can blow air at varying temperatures, so turning it all the way hot will heat the car faster, and vice-versa. However, once the car begins closing in on the temp that you want, you set it at the temp that you want, rather than waiting for it to get too hot,…
You don’t need auto climate control to set the dial where it will be comfortable and leave it be..
Dude, people simply do not use it properly. Full hot or cold, using the fan to throttle the airflow. I can’t stand it. Every person I drive with does it. It always leads to me being unable to breathe the hot, dry air when the car is 90 degrees and the heat is still blowing.
endless torture chamber of too hot, too cold, too hot, and on and on.
I’ve lived in the the ohio snowbelt my whole life, and I’ve never really needed anything more than a FWD sedan. I’ve been stuck twice, both out of my own ignorance.
My data is extremely limited, but I noticed, about a year ago, that some of the safest cars available had some of the highest insurance rates. I suspect this is because safe usually means lots of destruction to the car to absorb energy, which means a higher rate of expensive repairs and payouts. For example, on a…
15 to 20 years time when these touch-screen devices are failing left and right
Like the furniture (and more specifically, mattress) industry. What a convoluted, deceitful mess.
Fair enough, but the majority of cars on the road do not have stop-start. Additionally, if you want A/C or heat, you will need to have the engine on.
To be fair, ICE cars are losing their range as they sit there, engines running.
