I accidentally just let out an audible sigh of pleasure upon seeing that “shooting brake”.

I’d say it worked pretty well, safety wise, in this case. Do you think a Yaris or other sub compact car would have fared as well in a 100mph collision?

I believe the answer to the last question is what is known as target fixation. That, or he tried to go to the right, knowing that the smart car was going left, and he/the car didn’t change direction quickly enough.

Hope the driver dies from his injuries along with every other asshole who doesn’t know how to use a turn signal.

Yes, but the cop would have went around in the other lane, at least. You cannot watch that video and tell me that the smart cart didn’t make an asinine move as well.

We’ve had this color for years already

“Go another way. It’s not that hard”

As a scrap of anecdotal info, my neighbor just spent $800 on a supposedly special battery because it supposedly has a computer recognized chip or something, at least according to the dealer. He also spent another $700 on a new tire pressure sensor(s?) at the same time. This Z4 only has 34k miles on it, by the way.

You can haggle at many store. I’ve haggled on small tools at home depot and lowes, for example. Sometimes I just do it for the fun of it.

The strut towers were known to rust out and collapse. It was EXTREMELY common. I think 4 years is a bit of an exaggeration, but probably not by much.

Corvette: The Harley Davidson of automobiles

I don’t think we will ever agree on this, but a million times over I would rather drive a Mazda 6 than a wrangler. The wrangler is ONLY good at things that 90% of their owners never do. They are basically useless on the road. At least a Mazda 6 is (reportedly) a fairly fun car to drive and isn’t an exercise in useless

Good point. I suppose that, until recently, they were a fairly uncommon car. With the newer generations, though, they are as common as some of the snoozemobile midsize sedans.

With much more displacement and a supercharger. As an ex-multiple Grand Prix GTP owner, I did love that engine...However, that horribly weak transmission and floaty ride were not exactly sporty. Not to mention endless constant creaks and rattles.

Give him credit, the rockers and strut towers were solid for 6 months!

Maybe because waving at people just because they have the same VERY mass produced car as you is silly. It seems that only Jeep and Harley owners don’t quite get this. Your precious Jeep is as rare as a mazda 6

I’ve been talking about these a lot lately. You see, I work at NASA, annd at NASA there are many researcher type people. You simply cannot be a researcher without a beige baseball hat, light tan shirt, light brown pants, and a pair of either of these shoes. It is forbidden.

A 911 certainly isn’t in this engineer’s budget...

No, it’s been a good car so far, aside from the not-so-great shifter. I will hunt down and fix the rattle soon, I am not too worried.

Even an Eagle is leaps and bounds better looking than those things, in my opinion. The modern ones just looks so damn fat and bloaty. I like to think that they look like a car that is made entirely out of marshmallow that got too hot and puffed up.
