Mastodon's early records as "stoner sludge"??

"Oral history" means people talking. "People talking" means that they sometimes start a sentence going in one direction and then swerve. Doesn't look great in print, and the editor could have removed the first part of the sentence.

WERE? Just saw them last year (for the first time) and they still absolutely slay.

Thanks to George Lucas.

Yeah, I thought the preview looked pretty awesome.

Didn't even make sense in the moment.

I think the second season of Love is the first thing I can say I have honestly "hate-watched". That chase through the farmer's market was just the stupid cap on a super stupid season.

Or, you know, maybe Barack Obama is black.

Here's the deal - pedophilia and child sex trafficking is real, it just doesn't involve this pizza restaurant or the Democratic party.

So, non-homophobic humor is PC humor?

Why is the AV Club covering Trump now? Did I miss an announcement? Can't I go to one website where I don't have to see his dumb face? I doubt there are any regular AV Club readers who believe Obama is behind protesters and leaks, so what good does this do? This is not resistance.

I watched this episode last night without even realizing it was the season finale, and I thought it was the worst episode of the series so far. So needlessly convoluted and over-the-top. It had funnier lines than some other episodes, and the Nu Metal song was great, but from a story point of view, my partner and I

The new one is their best yet, in my opinion.

Man, way too many lyricists on this list. Are we making The Point or something?

Wow, way more "mature" emo and hardcore than I could have imagined just a couple years ago.

For real. It's not hyperbolic to say these are some of the most incredible sounds and images of our earth ever captured.

This review is overly cynical. This is an amazing film that helped put into perspective the relative smallness of today's election. A few bits of narration probably should have been excised - there are some lines that seem dumbed-down for a Netflix audience that he may not have included if it were intended for another

I still love the first 7"s. Growing up in Southern California, I was lucky enough to have seen Botch on 4 or 5 different tours, sometimes a couple nights in a row, and even on their first tours, they stood out as something special. For some subtle reason I still don't understand, I never gelled with We Are The Romans.

They were brought up in the article.

Yeah, the "funny" song title thing was super annoying. Lots of dumb inside jokes. Right when I saw this article, I thought of the last Botch EP, and how every title was a country the US had invaded, with a letter replaced with an 'M'. Coooool, a Super Troopers reference. Spazz was good at being funny.
