Mr. Heller - did you play in Antarctica? The double album was huge for me and my friends.

You're against the whole field of philosophy? I realize this is a review of a podcast on a pop-culture website, not a philosophy class, but I posited an idea and then asked to be proved wrong. I am genuinely interested in the question. I can answer it myself: Yes, if I am attracted to someone, I often initially find

Ha, yes, "prognosis diagnosis" is gibberish, but I don't feel my argument is in a hole at all. Are you arguing that no one finds Gillian Jacobs' appearances on CBB to be of a higher value because they find her attractive? If that was the case, why would people feel the need to point out that she's hot on here?

"I think the Gillian Jacobs / Garry Marshall episodes are pretty funny, but honestly, would they be as popular if Ms. Jacobs were not as attractive?" This is the question.

Well, yes, that would make me an obnoxious fuck, but I didn't say that. I find both of them funny, (Jessica St Clair more than Jacobs), and I don't think you're a sucker. I think heterosexual men enjoy these episodes more because they are attracted to Gillian Jacobs.

Something about your tone tells me you my prognosis diagnosis may have hit a little too close to home for you.

"Downvotes no longer show up, but go ahead and imagine having a ton of them." OHHH FUCK. I did not imagine my opinion would be a popular one. (For the record, the word "only" was not the best word to use to spark discussion, thought it is the one that makes people more upset than "one of many", and surely that counts

What did I say about PFT that is wrong? I think he's great.

There may have been some trolling involved with choosing the word "only"; however, I hoped to actually make some people consider why they like her appearances so much. Am I the only one that finds it noteworthy so many responses to her episodes seem to be "Gilly is so wonderful I have such a huge crush on her!"?

I also am sure that most people enjoy these episodes because they find Gillian Jacobs hilarious, and perhaps my argument would have been accepted with more thought if I had made that more clear.

Saying it was my "only" conclusion was clearly a poor choice of words, but would you really argue that at least some of Gillian Jacobs' huge popularity on CBB is due to her physical attractiveness? It's nothing against her - I think she does much better than many non-comedians who appear on the show, and think these

I love PFT. I love convoluted backstories. Part of enjoying convoluted backstories is the feeling of "getting" the references, which is something I enjoy, but sometimes the backstory begins to overwhelm the content, which happens (for me) on some of the multi-episode stories on CBB.

I have not yet heard this episode, but I have listened to all of Gillian Jacobs' appearances on Comedy Bang Bang, and judging from their placement on the CBB best-of lists against their actual comedic content, the only conclusion I can come to is that a lot of men think it is hilarious that an attractive woman speaks

She was a good performer with a pretty good voice (compared to those around her) in Discount; by the time The Kills released their second album, she was an absolute beast of a performer. On that tour, they were absolutely killer; made me nervous in a way I hadn't felt since being a teenager, which is remarkable

That might be the first time I have seen "Propagandhi" and "Path Of Resistance" follow one another.

In the months following the release of that EP, there were no less than 10 ripoffs of that first track going around in the Orange County hardcore scene.

Did you read the same article as me? Where the fuck did he say he didn't like punk music?

Are you 19 and this is 1998? Lifetime, Unbroken, American Nightmare, Spazz, Dropdead, Car Vs Driver (!?), Knapsack (ugh), Mineral??? Are you just getting into these records, or are they re-buys? I don't mean to make fun, I just didn't realize that people were discovering these records for the first time.

At what point did I look down on someone's opinion?

Plenty of hours to post on pop culture websites?
