That's totally what I expected to happen - it seemed like just the sort of torturous thing the showrunners would leave us with for six months. But then I read this interview i09 did with Tobias Menzies where he said "You have that moment in the woods, and you have that end moment in episode six where he punches

I find it hysterically funny that all the covers are now random household objects (cue cuff links, stemware, pack of cards) casting a shadow against a monotone background. I get that this is [arguably] classier than a Fabio cover, but how did this become the new way to signal "hastily written ripoff of current erotica

Agree with this - I'm sort of surprised people would be that shocked by it. There is certainly a lot of sex and Gabaldon is good about keeping it from getting too "purple" - it seems like she writes sex scenes in metaphor frequently as not - but I feel like it's no where near as raunchy as a lot of other "modern

I'm in the US, but I've used the Hola Unblocker extension for Chrome - I think there is a similar one for Firefox - to watch the UK Netflix before, so nice to know it will still be there at least…

Yeah, I think maybe in the show Frank will think that the "ghost" in the first episode was some guy following Claire who abducted her and that's why she's gone missing. I was guessing the drawing was his description to a police sketch artist? They never showed us Jamie's face as the ghost in the first episode, but

1 - No Jamie never goes into the future in the books (and like a few people mentioned, I'd be pretty shocked if they went that far off-book. They've stayed so close up to this point, and have stated their intention to continue to follow the story so many times that that would be pretty surprising)

Sigh...If they keep that bit and end on it or after it, I might be able to summon up some forgiveness for the absurd wait. [SPOILERS] Jamie in the window is one of my favorite moments in the first book.

Twitter feed from Maril Davis (@TallShipProds) one of the producing partners. I think it takes like two months for each block of two episodes, one for all the set up and one for filming so they probably were talking about it on that podcast but maybe it was in reference to doing all the prep for those episodes. I

Episode 9 is called "Reckoning" which is the same name as the chapter where the spanking scene happens, so I'm betting that's what will kick off the second half in April. I feel like that means they'll probably end Episode 8 with [SPOILERS] Claire getting rescued, or about to be rescued, or something like that

You literally just outlined my exact thought process on what exactly Starz is trying to do with all this.

Nah. I saw a lot of people talking about doing this in the sense that it was specifically to teach Starz some kind of lesson for putting it on such a long break and Starz was going to rue the day etc. etc. But honestly it makes total sense to not pay for a subscription you won't even be using. And Starz had to

I don't think it would necessarily need to be a whole new ring. He could still have "da mi basia mille" (or some sort of decoration or whatever) put into the one made from the key. I guess if that is actually what they were planning to do, and they were still trying to set up the big fight they have when he gets back

I have a suspicion they aren't done with the ring. I was thinking they might have Jamie go get it engraved when they get back to Leoch and after listening to Ron Moore's podcast about the episode I'm almost positive they will - he made some reference to the fact that for everyone who wanted the engraved thistle ring

The costume designer Terry Dresbach maybe wasn't supposed to mention this (I'm just guessing when I say that, but since its a deviation from the books maybe they were trying to keep it a little bit of a secret) but in this interview she calls it the key to Lallybroch (Jamie's home)

Regarding number 4 - part of me wonders if he still might take the ring back to get it engraved or something when they get back to Leoch.

Apparently women in stock photos also think you use birth control by sticking it in your underwear:

CBS really does treat it terribly. I have to add on a full hour to the end of the DVR recording, but it took many infuriatingly half-recorded episodes to learn.

No kidding. I hope she's getting screeners for at least one of those. Sounds like a ton of work for one evening.

Yeah as far as I can remember in the original story Rupert was really Claire's only other option and he was a widower. Murtagh was single but not compelled to obey Dougal's orders as he wasn't a Mackenzie. Angus and Willie are both characters new to the TV show. I suppose it is kind of odd they haven't really
