It was never true. OSX kernel panics sometimes, often doesnt follow good interface design, isnt any more intuitive than anything else, ipods sometimes dont sync right, Macs/users need tech support too. Apple makes good products, but "It just works" was never really true; It was always the marketing and user evangelism.
