Did this just affect land-line calls? So were cell phone calls still getting through? If it affected both, then did anyone die due to this? I mean 3 months; I would have to think someone needed 911 bad enough a life was on the line...

I'm confused... I've moved 4 times and never had issues cancelling service. Even if you're not moving, tell them you are. Either 1: To a place they don't service, or 2: Moving in with a roommate who already is set up.

I'm assuming this has to do with the improved public transit. People increase bike usage when closer to downtown, and decrease (Use public transit instead of bikes) further away from town?

True, but couldn't a group of Pirates jump on the ship..bust open whatever containers they can and take back all the goodies? No need to override the ship.

I live in metro-Detroit and always wondered why there wasn't more public transportation to and from the city. I figured it had to do with race/politcs, but then I learned the real reason was because GM (Head-quartered in Detroit) wanted people to buy cars and feared a robust public-transit system would hurt sales in

Hmmm...Since it's the super bowl, won't both teams be "visiting"?

Are most of these odds based on just the U.S. population?
