I thought Spy was going to be terrible, but I randomly watched it on November 10th because I was in need of a comedy, any comedy and I swear to god, I don’t know if it was because it just felt good to laugh amongst all the existential dread, but there were moments I literally could not breathe from laughing so hard…

Yes! Spy was a perfect Netflix surprise (wasn’t expecting much, enjoyed it immensely).

If they’d switched Melissa McCarthy and Leslie Jones’ roles it would have been a hell of a lot better. Having the black woman in the “urban, street-smart” role was too much of a trope and hurt the film.
