Finally heard back via email and voicemail. Apple’s official response: “The information in the Beats by Dre Battery Guidelines does show that they shouldn’t be used in temperatures below 32℉ and 113℉.”. Then they referred me to a Beats support website .

Came to ask this. I use Safari in iOS only for this reason. I’d assume that Google is not allowing this as ads are a large portion of revenue for them. Then again, “Mobile Friendly View” (Android only) seems to counter my argument. Perhaps Apple disallows in order to get more users on Safari?
