I admit I'm working on college knowledge now 20+ years old, and I know much better the (or at the time then) legal standards for libel than I do / did for slander. But back then, for libel of a public figure, you had to meet the standard of "actual malice" which is / was different than what we think of as "malice...…
I absolutely Adore Serena (and Venus... MUCH MORESO Venus) and not only their individual accomplishments but also what they've each and both brought to the sport.
I really liked that show, and it really started to find its voice about half-way in. But by that time, sadly, it was already struggling in the ratings. I did like the way they wrapped everything up, though.
This one will still always be my favorite.

There is absolutely NO reason why our top female athletes couldn't play at the MLB level except for the fact that their lack of opportunity drive them off that path.
