They did delay it a couple of times. But ultimately at some point you have to have a deadline. There’s marketing, there’s manufacturing, there’s logistics. And all those people involved in the chain need dates so they can make sure they have the resources available. So it’s not arbitrary. 

How would a union solve this problem? From the article it seems like crunch is voluntary, they pay overtime for it, and they try to supplement staffing with contractors.
