I noticed the same thing! Excellent news (and better than waiting for October, as I was thinking would be the case)

What exactly happened to Red Skull in the end? It was very anti-climatic and confusing. At one point it looked like the bi-frost was opening up to him, but then it looked like he might have disintegrated.
LIGHT THE THIRTEENTH CANDLE!!!!!!
Damn you're right! Maybe there will be a clever/funny cameo.
I absolutely loved the first one and still find great little moments with repeat viewings. The 2nd one was the complete opposite and should be "disavowed." The 3rd one was the true sequel, and a great return to form. With JJA still involved, here's hoping #4 will continue on the right path. I kind of dig the…
I struggled to understand Jennifer's choices too - but two things made it ok, and actually sold me on it.
jdale - you said exactly what I came here to say! I'm almost glad movies like this and Green Lantern get made, because the io9 reviews are just magnificent.
Oh please, we all know this is just a cover for the REAL recruitment: [www.jeff-fischer.net]
btw, HOW does Michael Ironside continue to get cast as "stuffy war commander character" in every movie, ever created!? Does every major studio owe him some kind of blood debt?
Yeah, BUT, Sam Raimi wanted to do the 4th one with John Malcovich as "The Vulture." Just the thought of that leaves me with a queezy feeling, and a confidence that he was driving the franchise down the wrong road. I'll reserve final judgement until after i see what the new crew cooks up...
Moffat & Co. need to pay attention to stuff like this - it actually, sort of starts to make the Daleks and Cybermen scary! Unless they're content relegating those two monsters to the cartoon-based, comic relief that they have been the last 3 years (which, you know, might just be the new term for Doctor Who villain…
Collex - couldn't have said it better myself! You're spot on in saying the series relied on the 80s/90s fear of the future, one that we are now living, and it's actually not that bad. The story kind of loses its punch when it's own "future" collides with our present.
LOVE THIS! If they're going to do a series reboot, they need this guy as the creative director. Far and away better than that shammy little "short film" that came out a few months ago. You know the one where the foot wore an assortment of gas masks and April was a "part time blogger."
It's absolutely absurd that the BBC would, for no good reason, put a 2 week delay on the BBC America airings at THIS point in the season. Just when I thought they had finally figured out proper scheduling of a global show, they pull this nonsense. Guess its back to downloading torrents of episodes for me!
So THIS is the episode where the old "10 TARDIS" makes a return appearance! Can't wait to see how/why that happens.
Watch that episode again - she tells the Doctor straight up "You won't survive this and don't think you'll be able to regenerate" she was aware it was going to be a one way trip both for the Doctor and herself.
If you think like a writer/producer - the little girl can only be River Song as a child. Alex Kingston ain't getting any younger, and by giving the character the power to regenerate, you can continue to re-cast her for as long as you want. It would also explain why the Doctor took such a fancy to her - she's another…
