Now playing

Not to mention that's not even how cattle are bread anymore; welcome to the 21st century:

I had a friend that needed her family PC repaired. It was taking over 20 minutes just to boot to the desktop and they couldn't figure it out. She had critical financial data for her company that she couldn't afford to lose, so a re-image was out of the question.

After much scanning, I finally cleared off all 800,000+

This is an easy one. I had a very rich and posh friend who had a top of the range Gateway import from Ireland. She said it was slow - she'd only had it a month - and asked if I could have a look. I turned up, turned it on and bang the processor blew.

Because they're playing New England, and the rest of the country supports their efforts to restrict an influx of Massholes?

Then stay home, or get a better brush.

Except that there are accepted standards for grammar and syntax in most languages that do constitute "proper" and generally should be followed

Neither, the last spoken word of proper English was last heard in Alabama in 1932.

I've just installed Windows 8.1 for the first time, coming from Vista x64 (which I loved) and... I actually like 8.1 a lot.

Windows 8/8.1 did not follow that trend. It is quite a great OS when given a fair shot. And just because people are morons, it doesn't make it bad. The advertising for Windows 8 has been bad though. Show more than Modern UI and maybe people won't be so stupid.

Umm, false. You, anyone who does that, and a lot of others are simply wrong.

Irregardless is like nails on a chalk board to me.

Of course commas and proper capitalization are important. Case in point:

I discard resumes instantly if I see a spelling mistake. If you can't be bothered to take one second to click that simple spell check button, we don't want you.

I dont understand this logic of thinking. If the so called "Google Machine" didn't also benefit you, I could see this as an argument. But Google's platform works because it helps you as much as it profits off you.

Several times. Sometimes it sticks, sometimes not.

Sorry, it's a bit of a pet peeve for me when others rail against hashtags because it's sort of become the popular thing to do. You do realize they serve a purpose, right?

Heh.

I started using voice commands with my OG Droid. It's much better to say, "navigate to [wherever]" than punch a bunch of buttons. When you're driving, you're not doing that. And even before you leave it's just faster and more efficient to tell the phone what to do.
