After installing the Ubersicht app, move downloaded widget files to the Widgets folder. I use the Aquamacs editor http://aquamacs.org/ to make screen placement / color / sizing changes. Note: After the initial install I kept getting error notifications but a reboot fixed that. Have fun!

This entire app permission scheme is a major pain in the ass to manage. Do I devote time to researching whether each particular app developer is trustworthy enough to allow them access to things like my contact list and GPS location? If so, what for? It's never made clear.

Yeah I had trouble finding a driver for the Broadcom wifi controller, until I found these http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Driveā¦ . Should work for all the Ubuntu flavors.
