It’s not upcycling if you take a brand new, perfectly usable sandal, and turn it into hot garbage that makes it look like you got your foot caught in a diving flipper. Not okay.

So all of this is much ado about respectability politics. And surprise, surprise it’s another Black man policing a Black female because she’s just not good (read: white) enough.

Frankly the black girl has the least messy hair compared to the other models in this campaign so I really don’t get the outrage this time.

Good-they shouldn’t apologize for a kid looking like a kid. None of the other children in the ad had their hair gelled down. All of the kids looked like they’d just been scampering around outside.

If all the kids in the campaign had messy hair, then this isn’t a controversy. I’m not going to do the research to determine if that’s the case, though. I don’t care enough.

Anyone complaining/ writing about this child’s hair under the guise of “concern” needs to take a good, hard, and long look at their unconscious beliefs about natural black hair. This ridiculousness has gone off for too many days. Leave this child and her perfectly fine hair alone.

Snoop, Dre and co. all got scared, renounced their affiliations and retreated to gated communities in Beverly Hills back when Tupac and Biggie got shot. It’s all fun and games until you’re a celebrity with a high profile, a family and a lot to lose. Apparently this new generation of baby rappers didn’t learn from

Yeah, no, I cannot compute feeling “ire” at ever seeing a little girl who looks like this or having the nerve to compare this hairstyle—which looks like the girl just got out of soccer practice for fuck’s sake—to minstrel imagery.

Technically he didn’t snitch on cardi. He was asked if she was a blood and he said “yes”. She’s said it on many occasions, at this point it’s public knowledge.

Ya - it hurt my insides to have to kill my bae.  It was a good run in TPS Aurelia... it was a good run...

I am practically tone deaf and even I can tell that this guy CANNOT sing. There is nothing Trey can do for him.

He’s being ridiculed because he brought this on to himself. When people in the Industry was trying to warn him to back away from the fire he was playing with Snitch-9 chose instead to spit in their faces laughing about how he was fireproof. Guess he’s finding out that nobody got sympathy for the devil.

I was following a twitter recap of the whole thing yesterday (@innercitypress on twitter) as they detailed the testimony post by post.

Utterly elite level snitching. I mean, I get that when you have wild shit going on in your life, you tend to remember it, but Jesus the detail he was putting into it.

Obviously this is really inappropriate and he shouldn’t have done it, but saying you’ve “always been more enthusiastic about costumes than is sometimes appropriate” is hilarious.

“Mass tragedy today as hundreds of commuters cars in Atlanta suffered catastrophic tire punctures at highway speeds, leading to major pileups with hundreds of casualties and an unknown number of deaths. The cause was identified as thousands of tiny, plastic 4-sided pyramidal objects, strewn across the highway. These

How about all the ‘women’s empowerment brands’ who post the quote ‘If they don’t give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair” AND NEVER ATTRIBUTE IT TO SHIRLEY CHISHOLM? This is the easiest quote to research - its the first that comes up. How many times have we seen this on social from all types of brands -

I thought Obama picked him because of the Corn Pop story. Damn.

Biden isnt crooked, he hasnt really benefited, hes one of the least wealthy people in this particular Washington bubble - hes just stupid

Re: Kristin Stewart photo - please do not confuse RBF with an actor who has no measurable range. You could argue that other actors have RBF, but most of them also have other emotions one expects of an actor. I am baffled why she gets so much work. ymmv

It’s more 80's version of 1999... As imagined by someone too young to actually remember the 80s.
