You can usually rank how hypocritical someone is based on how outraged they are that their religion isn’t getting a public blowjob.

In a vacuum you might be right, but in context (Fox, the president, etc) this is a dog whistle aimed at conservative, low-information consumers. It tells them that anything that makes them uncomfortable isn’t true, their fears are reasonable, and the local station is safe to trust. It’s really fucking sinister, imo.
If you’ve ever played Dynasty Warriors Gundam (the first one, at least) Zechs also has the fact that the game’s Original campaign mode decided “Hey, let’s put Zechs (Milliardo, whatever) into a team-up with Domon Kasshu and Elpeo Puru because why the fuck not” going for him and the three of them are legitimately one…
Zechs’ main problem is that they attempt to cram all three UC series of Char’s character development (enemy pilot with hidden agenda-uneasy ally-radical visionary Spacenoid leader running on a “fuck the Earth” policy) into him in a single series, and even with 52 episodes or so it still comes off as more than a bit…
Zechs is the Char that doesn’t lose his mind when he hits middle age and orchestrates a planet-killing genocide just to have an excuse to fight his rival one more time because all he knows is piloting suits, and he isn’t even that good at it compared to the other, stronger Newtypes. Zechs orchestrates his…
A couple years ago, I put “Endless Waltz” in the DVD player on Christmas Eve. It was PAINFUL.
Zechs is a pretty egregious Char Clone. Like, they didn’t try all that hard to put any sort of unique spin on him from Char. Hell, he ends up in a custom red mobile suit by the end of the series too.
MORE GUNDAM POSTS PLEASE.
I believe in Col. Zechs.
I read this piece three times slowly, so I could savour it.
I always knew this Char was the archetype for A LOT of characters in anime, but I never knew why because I never really watched the original Gundam. It feels like it’s not often that the antagonist actually succeeds in fulfilling their grand plan. Gundam was trendsetting all the way back then. Just may have to binge…
And people wonder why Trump won.
Why are space rabbits always green?
Oh, sweetie...
Suspension of disbelief. This is an ability crucial to many fantastical worlds.
Another aspect is that Mjlonir is an idiot. It’s explained that each time she transforms, Mjlonir ‘heals’ her. Her medications, chemo treatments are purged, but the cancer itself is recognized as Jane so it’s left alone.
This is “Tank Girl.”
I didn’t hate him for it, but I certainly didn’t like him for it. Nearly any sketch that he was in was always guaranteed to see him laughing no matter how funny the bit they were actually doing was. This happening here and there isn’t a problem, but when its every damn sketch, it got old real fast, and frankly the way…
She didn’t really “beat” him. She suddenly pulled a lethal weapon on him when they were fighting with sticks. He was simply surprised that she was that angry.
I don’t get this complaint, Rey got nerfed hard in TLJ. Where we expected a training montage, we got a montage of her being incompetent and pissing off nuns.
