One of my favorite details from Empire Strike’s Back is how sweaty Luke gets in his fight with Vader. Combination from the fight itself and the steam. And of course, we can’t see Vader, but we can very easily imagine that, under the mask, he doens’t break a sweat at all.

I literally haven’t seen anyone complaining about it. Another non-issue with the movie.

If someone had a mental connection with my in my bedroom they’d be lucky if I even had pants on.

To be fair, if you lived in the bracket that would benefit from the tax “cuts” you could hang one of these controllers on every wall in the house and still have enough money left over to buy your third yacht.

Here’s a much simpler one: because it was amazing cinema and Rian has the idea first.

A super star destroyer crashed into the surface of the 2nd death star and barely made a scratch. RotJ

She did catch them by surprise with her maneuver (remember how everyone was like, “Oh, shit, she’s running away”?) It’s possible that the Star Destroyer could have done something about it if they’d had time to react. Plus, frankly, capitol ships are a huge investment of time and resources, even in the Star Wars

He’s not wrong here. He wanted to try something new. To take risks and produce something original, and not just a throwback to the original trilogy. To make a Star Wars movie for the current generation of fans effectively, and so the angry fanboys are going to lose it and throw threats his way. This is why I’ve come

Fun fact, in the real world Commanding officers don’t break down secret plans for someone being a complete ass, Ala Poe, just because his little feelings are all hurt.

Wait. Are you saying you WANT this to match up with the older movies? I thought the whole point of making new movies was to make new movies.

It’s Operational Security. Does Holdo know how the First Order is tracking them? Does she know there’s not a spy on the ship? Does she know that the First Order doesn’t have surveillance devices on the bridge?

Holdo’s plan would have worked perfectly otherwise, and there was no reason she should have made that plan known.

It also makes sense that Finn, a recently defected Storm Trouper and Rose, an up till now grease monkey, would make some mistakes. Not even horrible mistakes: they only went with the shady hacker because they had no other choice, they told him no several times, he was there because he was the on the getaway ship. BB8

The dark side cave/pit is about fear. Luke’s biggest fear was becoming vader (Hence his cave experience). Rey’s biggest fear is that she is all alone and that there is no bigger story that she is a part of. She is simply Rey, not a lost princess, not a orphan whose parents have been detained. She is simply Rey and she

The only explanation would be if the destruction of the Imperial base on Scarif destroyed the files, meaning the First Order had to start from scratch, but I can’t imagine the Empire wouldn’t have back-ups somewhere, right?

The First Order could have taken out the Rebel ships with fast light craft but Hux decided that it wasn’t worth the loss in fighters plus he like the idea of chasing them down slowly like a pack of hounds nipping at their heels as they ran. He wanted them to die in fear and hopeless.

Where the hell was that implied? Not arguing with you, I just never had that impression. Is it in the EU?

Eh, the idiotic thing was that she didn’t have Poe locked up! Seeing as she didn’t have time for that, I see no problem in her keeping her strategy close to the vest. They were being tracked in Hyperspace.. that was previously unheard of—it was completely possible that she had an enemy agent on-board feeding the First

It’s not on her to reveal their plan (Indeed, General Leia’s plan) to slowly make progress towards the secret base and make sacrifices in the meantime to the guy who would rather fly the entire remnant of the Resistance right up to the First Order’s face and spit in their eye. It’s on Poe to follow orders and trust in

It was not on her to explain herself to Poe. It was on Poe to have faith in her leadership. As soon as he finds out her plan, he plans a mutiny. Because he thinks he knows better. He’d have done the mutiny earlier if she’d told him. That’s all. If he’d followed orders like everyone else in the Resistance, the plan
