That’s why I rolled my eyes at everyone’s “How dare they get rid of this universe I grew up with!” outrage during the Great Disney Continuity Purge. Do you people not remember that 80% of the expanded universe was shit fan fiction that someone got paid for?

In the back of the final NJO book was a transcribed interview with three or four of the authors. They were asked about the decision to kill off certain characters and admitted that they were quite surprised at how much they were allowed to do. This probably (my opinion here) played a big part in them killing off…

I wouldn’t say he effed it up. He gave the writers a list of characters that had to survive and there were several names missing and they went balls deep with it.
