They look like Catwoman-style goggles to me.

It's funny, isn't it? Take away their defining characteristics—Taki and Mai's boobs, Cammy's legs—and there's not much to the original designs.
I know what Morrigan is. She's one of my favorite game characters of all time. As such, shapeshifting some different clothes is part of her thing, so why wouldn't she try something new? There's nothing in that redesign that says "this isn't how Morrigan would act."
I think it's the artist's style that's putting people off. If these were done in an official style, they'd sell for $0.99 each.
What you're typing: "These redesigns are horrible! This artist doesn't understand the characters!"
She's also queen of her realm. I'm a huge fan of her default costume (her Marvel vs. Capcom win picture is the reason I started using her), but I'd like to see her in a flowing battle gown type outfit, something she'd bust out (no pun intended) when shit gets real.
I dunno. We as a society have our hang-ups all ass-backwards.
It's about ethics in game journalism!
A murder victim doesn't have to live with it.
I got my Halo 2 Master Chief PAK the other day. That's a BIG CHIEF.
If you NEED to dress your character in a super-skimpy costume in order to enjoy a very technical fighting game, then maybe you're not focusing enough on the fight?
The answer to sexual objectification isn't *more* sexual objectification.
My issue with later-gen Pokemon is that the designs were "too busy." Random-ass spikes and stripes all over the place. A friend guess it was due to hardware limitations; early Pokemon had to be easy to draw in pixel form on the Game Boy, while GBA/DS games didn't have that limitation, so the designers kinda went nuts.
Sandshrew even lifts, bro.
I like the exposed toes ('cause I'm weird like that), but it's nothing to get excited over. Hell, it's basically the Witchblade.
Anime Waifu Rule 45: It's okay if she looks 10, as long as the official bio says she's a high school student/a thousand-year-old demon!
Viper and Chun-Li have some jiggle in their "Continue" screens, but let's be honest...
