Could it be that another answer to that is to not behave like a raving sociopath online, @avclub-e57f718840a576abbb40a7d046c4e3b0:disqus ?

You're not communicating with "us all." You're communicating with the maybe one person who has time or interest to scan the comments on a particular piece. And that person is definitely not going to be a tech staffer.

Goes to the same place, I believe. Either route will work. And I've been told tech was already aware of the issue and is working on it right now.

I also had this problem, and I'm a) logged in and b) a staffer. I'll let tech know it's an issue.

Even without clicking, I just knew it had to be called SWIMKATA.

There's a BOOK? Oh my. This bears looking into.

@LurkyMcLurkerson:disqus  Yeah, I basically smoked a cigarette and fell asleep afterward.

Why wasn't this post an A? All you do is praise it, you don't say anything negative that would justify a B.

I frankly can't believe it took that long.

There is a vast difference between Cersei having sex with someone who is deliberately seducing her in order to manipulate her and get her secrets and advance the plot, and episode after episode after episode featuring scenes of unnamed, non-character women running around topless so the HBO audience can get its RDA of

@avclub-4caf6aa0375b2499ebfe7e971b36eee3:disqus Huh. First time I've gotten an email notification, too. New setting in Disqus, I'm guessing?

There is certainly an aspect of it being different when you see it live onscreen, in that you can describe anything in a book, and no one's getting exploited. Whenever I watch an HBO show, I end up very conscious of the cast members who are clearly there for no other reason than nudity. I always wind up feeling a

I'd say the Dunk & Egg stories are well worth checking out, but I'd look for the novellas rather than reading the graphic novels. The graphic novels are necessarily very abridged and simple compared to the prose versions, which offer much more sense of history and insight into the world and the characters.

@avclub-4caf6aa0375b2499ebfe7e971b36eee3:disqus Maybe the big surprising reveal in the last book will be that Dany feeds her dragons to the starving population and gets them through winter that way. Them's good eatin'.

I FINALLY started "Friday Night Lights," the TV series, after years of listening to co-workers tell me it was the greatest thing since "The Wire," absolutely essential viewing, not at all about the football, etc.etc.

Nice. As long as it doesn't look too much like a hat.

I had this exact same idea, with the idea that it would be a commentary on how much I hate the stupid pissing-Calvin meme. Unfortunately, getting that tattoo would still be acknowledging and helping perpetuate it.

Not sure I love it as a tattoo, but I love it as a concept. I'm thinking T-shirt — the disposable, non-permanent pop-culture tattoo.

I really like that image of the escape from the file cabinets, but it's not a great tattoo image. Too much dark background, too much detail. Maybe as a full-back piece, but I'm not THAT dedicated.

21 Jump Street all the way. It's a really surprisingly enjoyable film.
