Decent car, but horrible seller. Especially the claim of only 9 in the US. Maybe on 9 of that specific year with that engine and transmission and that specific color with those mods. He said google it; the first link told me 1227 W8 passats were sold in the US. I highly doubt that only 9 of them were manual.

It has to be a pain in the butt for automakers/dealers. Stocking 2 types of trans for all trims/options doesnt really make sense esp when manuals wont sell as much. It may be better for automakers to develop manual versions, stock base models in dealers, but allow buyers to special order higher trims with manuals.…
