Oh more fake news. BIGLY
Donald: Hey, it’s rising!
“You know, they love me in the Netherlands.”
I legitimately think this is one of the most interesting modern Mercedes. This is actually at the top of my list for “Any Mercedes I’d Buy with My Own Money” list. It’s a quirky minivan, and that is hard not to love.
Yeah, it's too bad they could never justify bringing them over. I guess that the R5 Turbo sales just didn't enthuse them.
This article sent me down the Renault rabbit hole and now I want one of these. Imagine all the picnics!!!
Did you just hear that? That crack that echoed like a gunshot through the mountains, scattering the birds?
Starred for mentioning the Maxi, an underrated car. I got a couple as a rental back in the late 70s/early 80s when I was in the UK and they were pretty competent vehicles. Not exactly exciting, but nowhere like the criticism they got. Better than some of our cars at the time, at least they were manuals.
You know, I’d totally watch a period drama about BL’s collapse done in the style of stuff like Mad Men or Halt and Catch Fire. Someone with powerful television executive friends get Torch on the phone immediately.
8 horse power. Common with a lot of British vehicles in the 40's & 50's was to use the horse power to denote the model. Austin 7; Standard 10 etc.
I’m not from the UK, but from their slightly less self-destructive neighbour (slightly), and we still refer to “dipping” or “dipped” headlights. “Bushes” and “bushings” are interchangeable, too.
We were promised this gorgeous Teutonic masterpiece and instead we got the Q7 :(
No big deal. In Europe, it’s quite easy to individually import a new car from USA. Or rather “individually”, as there are companies that do it for you. Or even just import the cars for sale and have them in their showrooms, ready to go.
I know you can buy Grillo and BCS two-wheel tractors in the US, both made in Italy. Gravely recently started making them again as well. I think the cost holds them back, as you can get a high end riding garden tractor for about the same price when you factor in attachments. You can’t beat the two-wheel units when it…
My dad had one of these, and they really are a good little machine.
I think this started in Japan many years ago. Then Taiwan (since Japan occupied Taiwan for 50 years) had it as a farming aid (to replace the water buffalo), then this went to China.
