Long strokes also lasted an inordinately long time in the UK, but that was also because of rules. Tax rules.

Very true.
I have. My flabber was gasted. But it doesn't need to be that way. It's a choice.
In 2019, perhaps. In the ‘90s and earlier, we called a moving image camera with film a “film camera” ("movie camera" in the US, I guess) and an moving image camera with electromagnetic tape a “video camera”.
I’d call it a ‘film camera’, which made perfect sense in a world where all cameras used film, but only this type made ‘films’.
The UK so royally balsed this up. I mean, what sentient being uses one scale for cold weather (“ooh, minus two tonight”) and another for hot weather (blimey, into the seventies tomorrow)?
TBH, I’m not as much of a fan of the version with the plastic cladding, but the original Roomster is a pretty good design. It’ll last.
Supplemented, of course, by that most fearsome warmachine
Sorry, no: too funky. This car demands insouciance and style, things that Dads typically do not have.
Renault Kangoo mk 1. Relentlessly practical family transport, cheap and so uncool that it’s beyond the concept of coolness.
Not everybody understands the desire to modify a car
That’s why Kavinsky is on the playlist in my '87 Radmobile.
I love this kind of stuff, and LA is just the best for it.
Everything was bolted-on on that thing.
Though I always wince when I see those big ugly Lucas bulbs they put on the US version
It's the car that gave much of India wheels. It'll probably chug through a nuclear apocalypse, and give rides to the cockroaches afterwards.
Yes, you can buy them in the UK, no, they’re not converted to RHD. There’s no legal requirement for a car to be RHD in the UK (or Ireland, or Japan etc). Just as it is legal to have an RHD car in the US.
*strikes suitably aggressive pose at a very, very safe distance* 👺
This. I've not heard anyone complain of a lack of performance of the vanilla A110. Quite the opposite, in fact.
Um. We do get Silverados. Just not from the official Chevy dealer.
