TBH, I’m not as much of a fan of the version with the plastic cladding, but the original Roomster is a pretty good design. It’ll last.

Supplemented, of course, by that most fearsome warmachine

Sorry, no: too funky. This car demands insouciance and style, things that Dads typically do not have.

Renault Kangoo mk 1. Relentlessly practical family transport, cheap and so uncool that it’s beyond the concept of coolness.

Not everybody understands the desire to modify a car

I love this kind of stuff, and LA is just the best for it.

Everything was bolted-on on that thing.

It's the car that gave much of India wheels. It'll probably chug through a nuclear apocalypse, and give rides to the cockroaches afterwards.

Yes, you can buy them in the UK, no, they’re not converted to RHD. There’s no legal requirement for a car to be RHD in the UK (or Ireland, or Japan etc). Just as it is legal to have an RHD car in the US.

Second nose- as the pictured ‘67 has.

First thought: Citroën 2CV, but that thing is effectively available new already.

Mk IIs are nice, but why not go for a Mk I RS if you’re going to make old new again?

If you ever wake up, confused and disoriented, with no idea where you are or how you got there, check out the cars around you. They’ll give you the quickest idea of where you are on the globe, more than almost anything else I can think of.
