Well, the 'building' they propose here consists of prying an Opel badge of an Insignia OPC, and slapping a Buick one on. I'm sure you can 'build' it right back on delivery :-)

Hmmm, wonder whether I can get that past EU pedestrian impact regulations...

Son?

That reminds me: Ford's first Focus.

1890s: 1895 Panhard, first with longitudinal front engine - transmission - RWD layout

I am confused.

As I'm sure you won't be surprised to learn, the 'guppy face' was the last of the Granada / Scorpio big Fords in Europe. Nothing bigger (or uglier) than a Ford Contour has been sold since.

Ain't it just?

Not a Crown Vic, granted, but still a Ford Police Interceptor in Berlin...

1927 Buick, bricked up and untouched from 1946 until two years ago. Pretty much everything is original, and it even runs

Arguably, it's Scots, not English. Same Anglo-Saxon roots, but it developed independently. At any rate, if you leave out the NSFW language, you're left with a couple of prepositions and some articles :-)

I'm not sure that this is the coolest, and certainly not the most beat up. But this '40 Ford truck is the most memorable car I've ever seen at a show; not neglected, just used, and never tarted up.

And that's just the elderly. Cars-only policies also exclude the very young, the infirm or handicapped, the drunk and the stoned. Even if there is no sympathy for any of these people, surely the idea that the clearly unable are trying and failing to pilot cars all around the healthy and able should give pause, right?

I think it does contradict what he's saying: now he's claiming that the auto industry would have been restructured more efficiently with private money. Crucial point: it would have lived.

Well, parking garages or the pacific northwest wouldn't be as optimal as a summer's day in Nevada, but my experience is that PV cells still manage to trickle steadily even in less than fantastic circumstances. A little might be enough to keep it at just over the 'brick' limit given a long enough timespan.

And the funny thing is; that BMW will have cost him $109,777.24 in the Netherlands.

Erm, would a half decent solar panel in the roof not be enough to prevent most, if not all, of the complete drain over a long time scenarios?

I'm not sure about the platforms- GM Europe has designed platfoms that are good enough to spawn a lot of the US GM cars and pretty much all of the GM Korea offerings. PSAs platforms aren't bad, but they probably cost loads, and don't sell in big enough numbers. Also, they are a bit stretched- literally.
