Agreed.  The amount of owner operators that deliver and pick up in California will drop as they cannot afford to replace a perfectly usable vehicle just because.

When HOAs and city ordinances are removed for mowed lawns, this will always be a fight.

This is where the engineering around clean burning can make a HUGE difference in greenhouse gasses.  Not everyday automobiles.

Not to mention the upgrades in the electric grid in the state to charge all of them...

What about enforcing laws about texting and driving.  It would be safe to say that the increased deaths of pedestrians are from people texting while driving....or people texting and walking and not paying attention.  Why keep adding cost to things to try and make things idiot proof?

I have a family member with a new child.  They refused to let anyone hold their child without hand sanitizer and they disinfected EVERYTHING. The kid is now super prone to getting sick around others instead of building up a health immune system.

David, what about replacing the alternator? With the core brought it the price is around $100.  It would solve the overcharge and you can just wire the fan to the battery.  I understand it is 1/6th of the cars value but....Michigan cold is terrible and this would allow you to fix all kinds of other issues.

This feature was explained to me in detail on my Tundra and the salesman and service writer both explicitly told me to use the switch anytime I go off road to avoid unintended deployment of airbags. Glad it exists now.
