I get your joke. You’re comparing Toto to Trump in that both are asking an official to change procedure to their own benefit. Haha. Very funny, except Toto only made that request in your imagination.

Your facts are spot on, they’re just cherry picked and used in support of a bad faith argument.

At this point, I’d be fine get ridding of all mask requirements and instead, require that before boarding a plane or entering any enclosed public space you show proof of vaccination.

The only thing more annoying than Lewis’ fans whining that they were robbed is Max’s fans trying to legitimize Max’s championship, which came under circumstances his Principal referred to as a “miracle.”

You think flying cars shouldn’t exist because someone got drunk and crashed one? Do you all think regular cars shouldn’t exist for the same reason?

I think that’s because the term specifically related master and slave.

As a Jew, I also demand they begin referring to showers as “rain makers” because many of my ancestors were gassed to death by Nazis after being told they were going to the shower. So offensive.

I didn’t see a tip line, so I’ll just leave this here:

I’m pretty sure that’s just angry Elton John.

Precisely. Even though the script tells us that the fate of the universe hangs in the balance with every climax, it never feels like there are any real stakes. We all know how it’s going to end. Add to it the video game aesthetic that moves us even farther from any real emotional grounding, and I just don’t give a

People here will condemn a guy richer then them for the frivolous way he spends his money, but never notice that to 99% of the world, their own Porsche or mega-truck also seems frivolous.

I assume you’re referring to Rule 15.3 which says, in part, “The Race Director shall have overriding authority in the following matters,” and one of the matters subsequently listed is “The use of the safety car.”

Interesting choice by the creator to portray Peter Parker in the header image with a normal humerus in his right arm and two upper arm bones on the left side!

That’s a misinterpretation of the rule.  The Race Director has authority to overrule the marshal, but nothing in the rule book gives the Race Director authority to overrule the rule book itself.

This is such a disingenuous reading of their position. Of course they’d have preferred to settle it on the track. Who wouldn’t have? But when something out of their control happens that renders their preference untenable, you change your approach.

C’mon. Even you know this is the lamest argument a person could make.

Here’s my pipe dream solution. Lewis makes the following statement:

I like the idea, but the next season is only three months away!

We agree. The stewards have been inconsistent (though not biased) in their application of penalties to incidents subject to judgement or interpretation.

Thanks for the correction. I wrote “steward” but meant Race Director.
