Unions have become companies. They no longer work for the workers but work to keep their executives in the green.

Hostess, anybody? The BCTGM leaders pushed for a strike and Hostess said fuck it, we done - we closing shop and you union bastards can go home. Your twinkies now come from Hostess Brands, LLC - courtesy of the same company that owns Pabst Blue Ribbon and Vlasic Pickles. Thanks for the Bankruptcy, BCTGM! You sure did

Bullshit. UAW is organized crime.

Are you a or a Union Or Die individual? I live in a big union city and that’s usually the rhetoric I hear. Can’t usually have a nuanced discussion about the pros and cons of Big Union without hateful spitting going on and threats of violence.

Massey Energy was unionized. Clearly the union didnt do a very good job of “pretecting” its’ workers. Although I am certain they did a fantastic job of ensuring all union dues were paid on time and in full.

“Amazon is not a tech giant” .... AWS?

“Name one thing that’s better.”

Lol you’re totally going to watch next week.

Everything I had stated is well known fact. You have just drank the Union Kool-Aid and can’t or won’t see it. The Unions have blindly supported the Democrats for generations because they can be bought off for their causes. And what have they done for you? Jack shit. It would seem that more and more Union members are

Wait, are you implying that Unions are often corrupt institutions without their member’s best interest at heart?

Don't even need that. That is what the State Departements of Labor are for. You have an issue and think you have been wronged or the law broken...report it. Don't like your pay or conditions, get another job. Or work harder and get better educated (in your job) and move up the ladder.

That will never happen. Unions are not there to solve problems, they are there to collect dues from unsuspecting employees who vote them in and then find out it is very very difficult to get rid of them.

That is the Union of today. They do not care anymore, they just want to collect dues.

In a right-to-work state, the INDIVIDUAL employee can choose not to be a member of the Union, but they still have to pay some of the due for the "collective bargaining" the union supposedly does on their behalf. The ideal would be to have the individual choose to be part of the union or not, and collective bargain or

Oh, no. I merely feel they should play a more neutral position (BEFORE BEING AGREED AS A REPRESENTATIVE) rather than attempting to sell their services... even though that is dumb and contrary to any other business. I feel like they are shiestery ambulance chaser types and often start/escalate trouble where other means

Because people still assume (mistakenly so) that unions are the best thing for an employee that there ever was.

tesla does NOT need to unionize. this isn’t the fucking 1930s. tech giants don’t need unions. this is a money-grab and people are too stupid to see it.

Thats funny. Unions do sit and watch for the exact time to unionize to further their own goals. Many times, they target employees of specific companies and ask them to sign cards for more information. Without knowing, the employees would have requested the unions to arrive and set up the voting tables.

Shouldn’t it be the employees choice to unionize rather than being pressured by a union? On paper, that sounds as pressuring as employers persuading employees to stay away from unions.
