Don’t you think it’s somewhat telling that the left’s argument on this has gone from “A $15 minimum wage will increase living standards for all” to “Losing your job is actually good”?

LOL what?? My god, some of the comments here are so scary.
Can’t tell if you’re trolling or not. But certainly living off others people’s taxpayer dollars is not better, in any sense, than having a job.
Not true. Inflation is not caused by rising wages.
Lol wow. You know you’ve lost when your argument has become “Losing your job is actually good.”
Jesus Christ, even as a pretty liberal Dem, I knew you’d somehow shit on a deceased 92 year old woman. She wasn’t Maya fucking Angelou, but she was still a nice lady.
Oh hey, literally the smartest people hate unions. Maybe there’s something to that.
Or maybe people who voted for anti-vaccer Jill Stein could have voted for Clinton and those three states would have gone for her.
Really? You want to tell people who were unfortunate enough to be on the wrong side of a rapidly shifting economy, and largely ignored by what I presume is your side, “fuck these people?”
Your title, The Racist Fixation on the White Working Class, equals and is personified, by none other than — Bernie Sanders.
The tendency of the left to call out every single thing they don’t agree with as “racist” is only going to make this problem worse. Sure, the black working class is certainly worth prioritizing as well, but you even mention in your piece that they are already overwhelming voting Democratic.
Dude biotech is literally the future of medicine. Literally the easiest sales job I’ve ever had. The products sell themselves.
Cynthia Nixon attacked unions?? Uh oh...guess we won’t be seeing any more puff pieces about her around these parts.
Despicable? How can you say that? New York has thrived under Cuomo. I’m all for electing more women into politics but let’s not be ridiculous. Cuomo has done a great job and his family is a mainstay in New York politics. Let’s chill out a little.
Nah, they forgot “billionaires” (not “millionaires” any more, cause Bernie’s one now, and these people LOVE themselves a hypocrite) and “oligarchy.”
The “progressives” are practically itching at the bit to throw minority and women’s issues under the bus, if it means a few more dollars in their pockets. They are questionable allies to liberals, at best. Meanwhile, watch out for the inevitable knife in your back from the Left. It’s coming. It’s always coming.
RIP Paul Blart
This guy is an idiot. This is exactly what started the housing crisis, which almost took down the world economy. We built too many homes, and their artificial values, whatever that means, never went down. The government guaranteed the loans and risk, so everything crashed the moment it reached a debt breaking point.
This article in 3 sentences: “I want to live in NY and have access to its job market and lifestyle; but I don’t want to pay what it costs to live there. Sure, I could go to Pittsburgh and have a much lower cost of living; but I don’t find the lifestyle or job market as attractive. It’s all so unfair.”
“There is nothing just about this. We claim to value hard work, yet we reward homeowners to a greater degree than hardworking people simply because they own an artificially scarce asset”
