all these companies should lock down all their 3D efforts and in their factories and not come up again with anything else unless it doesn't suck.

Ok, I know, why don't you just fix the log in with facebook/twitter instead, it's a big, slow, mess. It logs out all the time, it's not a cookies thing, I have to give authorization to the app everytime I want to write a comment.
